Located in the seaside village of Ardmore, Co Waterford, St Declan's National School is home to 114 children from the ages of 4 to 12.
The school is characterised by a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, one that's driven and encouraged by the teachers - and one in which learning comes naturally to the children.
Boasting excellent facilities, including a Science and Music room, extensive ICT equipment, great outdoor spaces and a state of the art Astro-turf pitch , St Declan's school is an ideal place to grow and learn.

"Split the Pot"
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents /children and members of the community who have and continue to support our successful fundraiser. We would also like to thank the many local businesses who support this by allowing us to use their facility for the sale of our Split the Pot envelopes . Envelopes are 2 euro each and our weekly draw is held every Wednesday night in the Round Tower Hotel at 9pm thanks to Aldan and Trish Quirke.

Mid Term Halloween
The school will close on Friday 23rd October at
3 p.m and will re-open on Monday 2nd November 2020
Christmas Holidays
The school will close on Tuesday 22nd December and re-open on Wednesday 6th January 2021
Mid-Term
The school will be closed on Thur 18th and Fri 19th of Feb. Re open on Monday 22nd Feb
St Patrick's Day
The school will close on Wednesday March 17th to facilitate St Patrick's Day
Easter Holidays
The school will be closed from Friday 26th March 2021 will re - open on Monday 12th April 2021
Bank Holidays
The school will also be closed on the following dates

Summer Holidays
The school will close for summer holidays on Fri 18th June 2021
Green Schools
We would like to thank all the children, staff and parents who helped us in achieving our 4th green flag which covered all areas of Travel. The children really enjoyed participating in this theme, especially the WOW/COW days (Walk on Wednesday and Cycle on Wednesday days) and also the Cycle Right programme.
Over the next two years we are going to work towards getting our 5th flag which will be our Biodiversity Flag .
