Mission Statement

 

St. Declans National School is a mixed primary school on the South East Coast of Co. Waterford in Ireland.

St. Declan’s N.S. Ardmore is a place where children come first. It is a place where we hope children will fulfil their potential, academically, socially and emotionally in a happy environment. It is a place where children can make mistakes in comfort.

While we strive for high educational standards, we accept that there is more to life than academic achievement. We believe that emotional intelligence is a greater predictor of success and happiness than IQ. Our ‘Motto’ for the children is that;

“We are more concerned with what the children will remember, when they have forgotten all we taught them”

Our “Motto” for the educational community in Ardmore is that; “None of us are as good as all of us”

The spirit of community and cooperation in Ardmore has made our school a wonderful place to be.
